PROBLEM STATEMENT
Many college students encounter student partner programs, yet perceive them as ineffective or lack the motivation to apply or actively participate. How might we devise strategies that not only encourage participation but also instill a sense of purpose and drive, empowering students to contribute meaningfully to their development and future success.
BREAKDOWN OF THE PROBLEM
1
Students unclear of the benefits
Lack of clear communication is leading to drop offs and student not participating
2
Inconsistency in communication
Delight that student see on Landing page, was missing in marketing, Emailers etc.
3
Lack of good visual
communication
First viewport doesn’t clearly cover what student can expect from the program
PROCESS
As this program was up and running since few years, I collated all the insights and data of previous version.
Few critical data points to consider:
Landing page drop off rates.
Students participating in referral program which was mostly derived through business reaching out to students directly
No. of students enrolled vs actively participating
SECONDARY RESEARCH
For this task, I conducted competitor analysis and secondary research to get an understanding of how others are communicating the information and what kind of motivation lever are considered good practices. Additionally, referred to other programs and campaigns rolled by Internshala.
Few trendy student ambassador programs that I referred for competitor analysis:
Microsoft learn student ambassador (MLSA)
Google developer student clubs (Google DSC)
Skillenza campus hustler
Geeksforgeeks campus mantri
